Welcome Back to School !
Regular classes start on September

elementary classroom teacher, it can be found in a special section
on the elementary school home page. Our elementary and high school
main offices will be open Tuesday and Wednesday the 2nd and 3rd to answer any of your
questions regarding registration. Please enjoy the remainder of
your summer and we look forward to seeing you on the fourth!
New Flashing Beacons to Identify our School Zone
It has been a work in progress for over
two years but we now have flashing beacons on Route 30 which identify
our School Zone. The NYS Department of Transportation has worked very
closely with the Village and the District to install the state of the
art flashing system on both ends of the School Zone. It will be tested
during the first three weeks of school in September before the full
programming features are activated. Please remember that when the lights
are flashing, the speed limit in front of the school is 20 miles per
hour. Many thanks to Mayor Borst, Police Chief Orelup, and Bill Seamans
(NYSDOT).
Thinking About Buying a Calculator for School? That can be an
Expensive Proposition...
Buying a calculator for school can be confusing,
difficult, and very costly. One of our students recently posed some
very intuitive questions to us relevant to preparing for the
upcoming school year. The student was rightfully concerned about
cost, availability, features that are needed, and what courses and
grades require which type of calculator. Hopefully we can sort out
some of your questions and make some suggestions. The link that
follows will provide information on what is available at school,
what types of calculators are used in specific courses, and where
you can buy calculators if you so choose. You are not required
to purchase graphing calculators. Click here for more information, »

School and Community Relations
In an effort to keep our parents, students, and
community members informed of important school information, last year
the District launched the "School News Notifier" (SNN). The SNN is an opt-in e-mail alert system for which
parents, students, residents, and staff members can sign up to receive e-mail
alerts from the district. »
