Anti-Bullying Policy in Place This past July, the Board of Education adopted a revised Anti-Harassment/Anti-Bullying Policy that correlates with items in the newly enacted State Law (June of 2010) entitled "Dignity for All Students". This policy was created by a special Board committee which included parent and community members and which began meeting eight months prior to the policy being presented to the Board. The new policy also addresses "cyber-bullying". Although some items prescribed in law must still be developed by the State Education Department prior to the required implementation (2011), our Board has implemented the Policy in anticipation of those new requirements. Staff received in-service training on September 7th, and students discussed the new policy during classes in addition to hearing about the policy during assemblies the first two weeks of school.
