1st annual Small Town Throwdown Cheer Competition at SCS

More than 500 people attended the first annual Small Town Throwdown Section 2 Cheer Competition hosted by SCS on Jan. 28. Visiting schools included Gloversville, Middleburgh, Norwich, Greenwich, Germantown, Northville, Mayfield, NDBG, Galway, OESJ, Fonda, & Greenville. Schoharie’s varsity cheer team placed 7th overall. High-tech sleuths seek elusive gingerbread man

Jeneca Kenny’s kindergartners use iPads to track the whereabouts of a world-traveling gingerbread man. Besides high-tech sleuthing using their own, new devices, the children are learning reading, writing, library, geography, math and social studies skills. The iPads were purchased with state Smart Schools funds.

Stephen Alescio tops 1,000 points in varsity career
