Are you ready for the second annual SCS Cabaret?

The Cabaret will feature a range of singing and piano talent from our students as they perform songs from the stage and screen. The entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

“It’s fundraiser for Friends of Fine Arts, which is our Fine Arts booster organization,” said Music Teacher Carrie Styles.

All proceeds benefit SCS Friends of Fine Arts, which in turn supports fine arts activities at SCS.

There will also be cookies.

“Families and local bakeries donated cookie trays that will be auctioned off in between musical acts,” Styles said.

The Cabaret and Cookie Auction helps get music students into the performance mindset early in the school year.

“It’s a way to get them kicked into gear,” Styles said.

About 25 students will be performing a mix of solos, duets, trios and even a quintet. Songs will include selections from Waitress, Hamilton and many more.
Entrance for the Cabaret and Cookie Auction is $3 per person up to a maximum of $10 per family.

While our vocalists will have their first shot on stage Thursday, our band students will be performing at 7 p.m., Oct. 17 at the Jr./Sr. High Band Fall Arts Festival Concert in the high school auditorium.
