President Jaqueway called the Special Board of Education Meeting of March 22, 2018 to order at 6:00 p.m.

President Jaqueway led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Motion was made by Mr. Guasp, seconded by Mr. Kuehnle to enter into Executive Session o discuss contractual items.

President Jaqueway declared the meeting to be in recess at 6:02 p.m.

The Executive Session came to order at 6:05 p.m. with Mr. Florussen, Mr. Guasp, Mrs. Jaqueway, Mr. Kuehnle, Ms. Blood and Superintendent Blanchard in attendance. Mr. Quandt arrived at 6:09 p.m. and proceeded into Executive Session.

Motion was made by Mr. Kuehnle, seconded by Mr. Florussen to end the Executive Session 6:25 p.m.

Motion was made by Mr. Kuehnle, seconded by Mr. Guasp to return to the Special Meeting

President Jaqueway declared the Special Meeting to be reconvened at 6:28 p.m.

PERSONNEL
Motion was made by Mr. Guasp, seconded by Mr. Kuehnle that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Blanchard, hereby appoint Matthew L. Wright to the position of Director of Curriculum and Pupil Personnel Services, in the tenure area of Director of Curriculum and Pupil Personnel Services, to serve a four-year probationary term beginning June 1, 2018, at a salary of $93,000 pro-rated for the 2017-18 school year.

Motion was made by Mr. Guasp, seconded by Mr. Quandt that the Board of Education accept  the recommendation of Superintendent Blanchard to accept, with thanks and best wishes, the retirement resignation of Colleen Schlicht, Elementary Teacher, effective 6/30/18. RESIGNATION

Motion was made by Mr. Guasp, seconded by Mr. Kuehnle that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of Superintendent Blanchard to accept, with thanks and best wishes, the retirement resignation of Christine Quandt, Social Worker, effective 12/31/18.

Motion was made by Mr. Kuehnle, seconded by Mr. Florussen that the Board of Education accept APPROVE M. HUNT
the recommendation of Superintendent Blanchard to approve the increase in hours for Madison Hunt, Food Service Helper, Part-time, from 3.5 to 5 hours/day at her current rate of pay, effective 3/23/18,
according to School District Calendar.
