Home-School Connection – January 2019

From the Desk of the Principal

In these very moments I see so many of you greeting us in the office with smiles on your faces before you drop off materials or rush off to join your children in holiday activities in their classrooms, this is the perfect time to reflect and share my deep gratitude for each and every one of you.  Whether you are a known friendly face who visits often, one of the smiles that greets us during special events, or one of the many parents who support the children through your conversations at home and with us, I know each and every one of you is key in making this such a wonderful place for your children to come every day.
I am also thankful for the lasting and critical contributions of our teachers, staff, and students as we continually strive for excellence in the efforts we put forth each day and the goals we hope to achieve.  In the next month we will be working together to measure our mid-year progress toward each child making at least one year’s growth in school, adjust as necessary, and celebrate the successes I know we have achieved.
Throughout the month of December our students and teachers have been engaging in random acts of kindness that have warmed my heart and touched so many people.  I know this consideration will carry forward beyond the holidays.
Enjoy your time with family and friends.  We will see you in the new year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Polikoski

EPTSO Corner

We wish everyone a healthy and safe holiday season and thank you all for your support in 2018!
We love seeing everyone in their Schoharie Blue – thank you for your spirit wear purchases!
In 2018 your support allowed the EPTSO to sponsor field trips for every grade,  host events such as the Mother Son Breakfast and Father Daughter Dance and provide many of the awards that are received by our children in school events like the Olympics and Spelling Bee.
We thank you again and look forward to an awesome 2019! Please join us on January 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Schoharie Free Library for our next meeting.
