The following letter is being sent home with Schoharie Jr./Sr. High School students on Dec. 18.

Dear Schoharie Parent or Guardian:
I am writing to inform you about an incident that occurred during a Schoharie vs. Middleburgh JV basketball game on Monday, December 17, 2018.
An adult was harassing a group of students seated in the bleachers during the game. Schoharie Village Police were contacted and responded. An arrest was made later in the evening, and the adult has been prohibited from entering Schoharie Central School District property.
We take student safety very seriously at Schoharie Central School District, and we work hard to ensure that spectator conduct is appropriate at all school events. We also maintain close working relationships with our local, county and state law enforcement agencies for the benefit of all students, staff and visitors to our schools.
