Junior High Student Council Holds First Meeting

On on Wednesday, December 6 the new SCS Junior High Student Council held its first meeting.
Since Grade 6 moved up to the High School, there has been increased interest in forming an organization for grades 6-8 similar to the High School Student Government.  
The new Junior High Student Council held elections in November, and has a full slate of Officers and Homeroom Representatives who report back every month to their respective homerooms.
Upcoming activities include:
  • December Leadership workshops at the Schoharie County Youth Bureau
  • January Volunteering at the Regional Food Bank of NENY
  • Junior High Family Fun Night on March 1
  • ‘Spring Fling’ Junior High Dance in April 
  • 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony in June
