Substitute Staff Are Needed

SCS has an immediate need for substitute teaching assistants, substitute teacher aides, substitute bus aides and other non-certified substitute positions. The district offers excellent opportunities for area residents to work in a positive and rewarding environment.

Teacher Aides, Part Time, Elementary School

    Description of Duties: Supervise children on the playground and in the cafeteria; circulate among students to ensure a safe environment. Assist students as needed and be sure they are observing school rules for safety at all times while maintaining a positive environment.

    Effective Date: September 1, 2019

    Shift / Schedule: 3 hours per day-5 days per week, according to the school calendar. Start time: 10 a.m.

    Salary / Hourly Wage: Hourly Rate According to SCEA Contract

    New York State law requires that the Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability conduct fingerprint-supported criminal history background checks for applicants for certification and all prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and BOCES.
