Lily Caza receives GlaxoSmithKline Science Award

senior holds her awardClass of 2018 valedictorian Lily Caza, who plans to major in either chemical engineering or neuroscience at college, was awarded a $500 GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Science Award at the healthcare company’s Oak Hill site in East Durham.

She’ll also take part in a job shadowing experience at GSK and is being considered for a paid summer internship. GSK manufactures various brands of popular toothpaste and other personal care products.

Lily received the award on June 8 at GSK’s Oak Hill Site. In addition to academic achievement and outstanding performance in STEM courses, she is also being recognized for good citizenship.
