Schoharie students get ghoulish for Halloween in their CTE program

As part of their lesson, ghoulish makeup displays from stabbings to slash wounds, eviscerations and more are crafted by juniors and some seniors on the program’s Albany and Schoharie campus locations.

Also, Chloe Towle created a penetrating hand wound on classmate Ashley Young. Both students hail from the Schoharie Central School District.

Each year, junior cosmetology students get a head start on Halloween by learning how to apply theatrical makeup as part of their makeup unit.

“The cosmetology department explores many career options throughout the year, theatrical makeup artists being one of them,” said teacher Nancy Schmidt.
