The production is based on the version of Cinderella that premiered on Broadway in 2013, re-conceived by Douglas Carter Beane. The version turns to the early French version of the fairy tale by Charles Perrault, where the classic fairy tale has a much richer story line.

Cinderella has multiple encounters with the prince, one of the stepsisters was friendly toward Cinderella and the sister had a boyfriend too. Cinderella also helps the Prince see the injustices in the court.

The production features songs from the original 1957 televised musical such as “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” and “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful,” along with rediscovered songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein cut from other shows.
