Our 6th grade choir went to the Kingsway Village senior living complex to perform their winter concert pieces and to chat with some of the residents. The choir also invited the seniors to join them in singing some fan favorites like, “Over the Rainbow” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. It was a special moment for everyone to come together and sing in community.
The students loved being able to mingle and talk with the residents. Some residents shared stories from their lives and talked with students about their careers before retirement. The trip was a wonderful way to connect with a different generation through music!
