Budget and Capital Project Vote Set for Tuesday, May 19

Voting on the 2026-27 budget is slated for noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 in the hallway outside of the Jr/Sr High School Gym. Voters will also be asked to weigh in on a Capital Project; select two BOE candidates; vote on a Schoharie Free Library proposition; and decide on a bus proposition.

Spelling Bee Classroom Winners Square Off

Schoharie students spelled their way to success today at the Schoharie School Spelling Bee. The top three contestants were:
1st Place–Kieran Florussen–Grade 7
 
2nd Place–Leah Seamster–Grade 5
 
3rd Place–Max Rosenthal–Grade 6
The top three contestants from among the 20 student classroom winners who participated were awarded a gift card from the EPTSO. Every contestant was given a certificate of recognition from Scripps National Spelling Bee and the SCS Student Government.
The first place finisher will advance to the Scripps Regional Competition in February! Congratulations to all of the participants!
