Students Attend Rare Appellate Court Session

Students stand in front of courthouse

On Tuesday, October 7, members of the SCS Student Government attended a session of the NYS Appellate Court at the Schoharie County Courthouse. It was the first time in over 20 years that the court held a session in Schoharie County. SCS students were granted special access, and participated in a question and answer session with the five judges. The judges stressed the value of participation in government, respecting the opinions of others, and the need for lawyers in rural areas such as Schoharie County. This was a memorable experience for our students!
