Capital project FoRum

Schoharie CSD is hosting a Capital Project Forum at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

A $3.9 million proposal will be put before voters on May 19. The forum, which will be held in the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium is an opportunity for our school community to learn more about the needs behind the planned project, as well as a chance to ask questions.

A tour of the recently completed Capital Project in the Elementary wing is also planned.

National FFA Chorus Participant Reflects on Honor

Schoharie sophomore Caroline Borst, who recently returned from the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, was won of a select few chosen nationally to perform at the convention.

To earn this spot, Caroline had to prepare and submit audition materials, complete a detailed application, and secure a recommendation from her advisor. Being chosen for the National FFA Chorus is a huge honor, as the competition is fierce, with only a handful of students selected from each state to participate.

Caroline recently reflected on the experience.

“As a singer, I gained so much confidence, especially singing in front of a large audience – one of our performances was for about 70,000 people! At the National Convention I met a lot of people with the same goals,” Caroline said. “It was a really good mix of students who loved theater, music and FFA!”

Great job Caroline!
