Schoharie students on Thursday learned about the ins and outs of stress – and capped off their lesson with a game of charades based on positive stress coping strategies.
The lesson is part of a curriculum delivered by Schoharie County Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse. The program runs for 10 weeks with SCCASA educators meeting with each class in grades 3 through 5.
The classes, led by Danielle Trendell explored what stress is, what causes it and coping strategies – both positive and negative.
The classes explored ways to focus on positive coping strategies, with the charade game leaving classmates guessing as to what strategy they were using. Thank you SCCASA!
